Educational Consultants

Educational Consultants play a vital role in the therapeutic industry as they work closely with families in crisis to asses their at-risk adolescents and refer them to appropriate therapeutic schools and programs. In order to be able to coordinate the placement of at-risk students many Consultants visit the wilderness camps and spend time with the front line staff and wilderness therapists in the woods. Through this the Consultants are able to gain valuable insights about each individual wilderness program, how they differ and what they have to offer, so that they can use this wisdom when matching an at-risk student to a wilderness program that will meet their needs.

Many of the Educational Consultants that support the endeavors of NATWC are members of the Independent Educational Consultants Association. IECA is considered to be the nations largest organization for educational placement advisors. To learn more about the organization or to locate an IECA member near you visit their website or call their office: 703.591.4850.
