The primary purpose of NATWC is to support the establishment and continuation of therapeutic wilderness camping organizations; with the attendant responsibility to educate the public as to the existence of such organizations and their success in helping troubled young people change their lives for the better.

Spread the Word on Training Opportunities!

NATWC is pleased to announce our newest web page and service to our industry: one calendar on which you can check out the many trainings and conferences available to you across the country.  It’s difficult to keep up with all of the opportunities out there and make plans ahead to attend before they’re often sold out.  Here you can find it all and decide on the most valuable use of limited training funds.

We encourage members to let us know what’s out there.  If your program is doing a workshop that is open to others, you can spread the wealth of knowledge, and offset some of your training costs, too.  Smaller programs may be able to connect and share the cost of expensive trainings.  National and regional events put on by other organizations will be posted as well.  Members will be given priority, but we want to be as comprehensive as possible for the benefit of our members, so outside listings may be accepted as well.

All listings must be events that are open to others.  Consider offering a discount for NATWC members, and extend the value of membership for all.  To submit a listing, check out the Trainings page, and then go to the Contact page to send it in.  Thanks for sharing!
