The primary purpose of NATWC is to support the establishment and continuation of therapeutic wilderness camping organizations; with the attendant responsibility to educate the public as to the existence of such organizations and their success in helping troubled young people change their lives for the better.

NATWC Board of Directors

NATWC has an active volunteer Board of Directors that meets three times a year for the purpose of implementing the goals and providing an Annual Conference primarialy directed at continuing education for front line wilderness staff and program personnel. the Board is comprised of professional individuals dedicated  the continuation of wilderness programs and therapeutic wilderness camping for at-risk adolescents.

The Executive Board is made up of: Linda Tatsapaugh, Chairman; Steve Cockerham, Vice Chairman; Micah Wheat, Treasurer; and Sandy Schmiedeknecht, Secretary.  For more information on these and the other Board Members go to the new page dedicated to the Board of Directors and spend some time getting to know your Board.
